A Message From Robyn White:
My story begins on June 21st, 2013. It was just a normal old day, really boring actually. Then, all of a sudden, I couldn’t breath. So my mom took me to the hospital. There they did test after test after test, until they came to the conclusion that I had late Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
They told me that I had only a five percent chance of survival. I did almost die from the chemo, but I made it through. They transferred me to this one children’s hospital that is one of the best hospitals for children’s cancer.
Jump ahead to July, I got diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. So I was like “okay,” another diagnosis. Again, jump ahead to August, I got the diagnosis of Mitral Valve Prolapse. That’s a heart condition.
But even after all of that, I have been happily cancer free ever since February 28th, 2014.
My advice is that everyone is stronger than cancer. Believe that you can and will get through it. Don’t think about the negatives, just the positives… no matter how old you are.
